MOMO is a study platform run by an individual developer (Moemen, Egypt). This page says exactly what data exists, where it lives, and what never touches our servers. Short version: we store your study progress so it can follow you between devices, we never see your AI keys, and ads only run for free accounts.
What we store
- Account basics. When you sign in with Google we keep your Google account id, email address and display name. That's the whole profile.
- Study data. Your syllabus progress, flashcards, timers, arcade tokens, notebook names, ideas you post, and the text extracted from documents you upload to your private notebooks. Uploads are converted to text in your browser — the original file itself is not sent to us.
- Usage counters. A daily count of AI requests made on our shared keys (that's how the free allowance works), and a hashed network identifier used only to stop abuse.
- Subscription state. If you buy Premium, our payment provider tells us your plan and its renewal date. We never see card numbers.
All of the above is stored with Supabase (database hosting) and is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.
What we never store
- Your AI API keys. A key you add in Settings is saved in your own browser (localStorage). It travels inside your requests over HTTPS so the server can forward them to your chosen AI provider, and is discarded the moment the request finishes. It is never written to a database or a log.
- Passwords. There are none — sign-in is Google only.
- Your documents. Only the extracted text you chose to index, never the files.
Third parties involved
- Google Sign-In — authentication. Governed by Google's privacy policy.
- AI providers (Groq, Cerebras, OpenRouter, Google Gemini, or the provider of a key you added) — receive the study text needed to answer your requests, under their own policies.
- Supabase — database and file storage.
- Paddle — payments, as merchant of record. Card details go to Paddle, not us.
- Google AdSense — shows ads to free accounts and may use cookies for that; in the EEA/UK you'll see a consent dialog first, and you can refuse personalized ads. Premium removes ads entirely.
- Vercel — hosting; standard server logs (IP, request path) for up to 30 days.
Your controls
- Clear your notebooks or study data any time from the site (Clear buttons work immediately, server-side).
- Remove your AI key any time in Settings — it only ever existed in your browser.
- Want your whole account deleted? Email moemenyasserazmy@gmail.com from the signed-in address and everything keyed to your account is removed within 30 days.
Children
MOMO is meant for students 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date above changes and the site will say so on the home page.
